Before you adopt an animal from ASH...

We will ask you to complete the following questionnaire:

» How many people live in your house?
» Are there children, if so how old are they?
» Are there other pets?
» Have you had dogs before?
» Is everybody working full time/part time/or is someone home most of the time?
» Is there a garden and if so is it walled in/fenced in or (semi) open?
» Will the dog be allowed in the house?
» Where will the dog be sleeping
» If you are renting, have you asked landlord’s permission?
»You do realize that a dog might live with you for a long time, possibly for 12 years or more?
»Do you have questions you would like to ask us?
»How much time do you plan to spend away from home with your dog, e.g. walking, training classes, the beach, forest walk etc.
»Which dog/pup are you interested in
?

Please answer these questions truthfully, they are designed to find the dog that suits you best and the home that suits the dog best………

Please also note that we request a reasonable donation when you adopt one of our dogs. Please read our page "What it costs to run a rescue" to see how much we need your kind help.
